Teachers

The staff comes to Montessori Children's House each day eager to encourage children to become, independent, resourceful, flexible individuals. We give emphasis to peace education and conflict resolution along with care for the world and all its creatures. The dedication of the teaching staff is excellent and inspiring.

 

 

Director of Education

Stormi Sutherland

Stormi has a deep, long standing commitment to the development of the whole child. She is certified by the American Montessori Society and has received her M.A.C.T.E Early Childhood degree from the Columbus Montessori Teacher Education Program. Stormi has worked in early childhood education for over fifteen years

 

 

Head Teacher

Fiona Lastovica

Outgoing and enthusiastic, Fiona brings a breath of fresh air to our classroom. She has a Bachelor of Science in Childhood Education.

Starting in the Fall of 2006 she will be co-ordinating our Before and After School program.

She has over 7 years experience in child education.

 

 

Assistant Teacher

Lacy Rowe

As an assistant, Lacy brings a peaceful, calm presence to our community. She oversees the Practical Life area and teaches yoga to our class day children.

Her love for children is evident to all who enter Montessori Children's House.

She has over five years experience in child care.

Victoria VanHolder

Victoria brings many wonderful ideas and activities to Montessori Children's House. Her talents in art and music bring life to the classroom. She is excited to learn more about Montessori Education.
